Yesterday H&M’s Selfridges branch became the only store in the world to get the Versace for H&M cruise collection. Although the collection launched online last week (crashing the H&M website, obviously) my order was still in transit so I thought I’d pop by to check it out in person (and, erm, possibly pick up a few more pieces).Only womenswear was available in store (the online collection also featured menswear) and, like the previous Versace for H&M collection, there were dresses, shoes and jewelry galore, most of which was covered in a fabulous fruity print. The cruise collection also featured sleepwear, including a babydoll and satin dressing gown (centre), perfect for lounging around in! I also loved the giant fruit-print sports bag.The most popular items were definitely the bikinis, which sold out online almost instantaneously. The white underwired bikini is perfect for those with smaller busts and creates a lovely silhouette whilst the string bikini is a fabulous lilac shade. I swore I’d only get one but I just couldn’t decide so I got both. Oops! All I need now is a big fruit hat a la Carmen Miranda and I’m ready to hit the beach. Be warned though, the sizes do come up fairly small. Check out the gallery below for lots more pictures!
Whilst a few people were sceptical originally about H&M opening up in Selfridges I love the fact that they get all kinds of exclusives and are using the store in a different way. I look forward to seeing what else they have up their sleeve. As for H&M, I already can’t wait for their next designer collab with Marni – I’m desperate for some more pictures of the collection!
Versace for H&M is available at Selfridges now.
Some Versace for H&M items are still available online at H&M and you can keep looking out for returns.
