Dress Like a Prints-ess: Marni at H&M

H&M have finally released their lookbook for their Marni collaboration! Ever since they announced the collaboration I’ve been dying to see what Consuelo Castiglioni, Marni’s founder and creative director, had in store for us. As it turns out, the collection combines a range of prints with a “sporty” allure and some seriously chic accessories, perfect for the summer months. But for those, like me, who tend to stay away from prints, there are items for you too! I particularly love the sports lux cardigan (above) and the swimsuit underneath (yup, that’s a swimsuit!).

I’m actually a bit obsessed with the swimsuit, which you can see peeking out from under the t-shirt (above). Although featuring a bold print the colour is muted and it has the most incredible bustle thing around the waist giving it a 50s/goth vibe. The T-shirt is cute too. For those who prefer colour blocking, don’t worry because there are some single colour items, including a fun pink outfit comprised of shorts and a halter neck. Check out all these items in the gallery below.

Being Marni, though, there are prints galore with a sort of African vibe. Much like the video (see it below), which was directed by Sofia Coppola and filmed in Morroco, the collection brings to mind humid summer nights and hot days spent lounging by the pool. I particularly like the maxi-dress, above.

As for the accessories, they range from super sleek bags to sequinned bibs, large bangles and flower necklaces. There are also sandals and platforms, all of which are gorgeous. One final thing that has to be said about the accessories is that they include some seriously wacky hats (as mo0delled above). I can’t wait to see them in real life!

Check out the gallery of my favourite pieces, below.

Marni for H&M is out on Thursday, 8th March – save the date!
